Jimmie Dean O'Dell, 63, of rural Orrick, Mo., passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at his home near Orrick with his family at his side. Jimmie was born on May 13, 1956 on the family farm near Orrick to Luther Lee O'Dell, Sr., and Vina Marie (Covey) O'Dell. He had lived his entire life in Ray County and around Orrick. He attended school at Orrick Public Schools.

He was of the Baptist faith.

Jimmy was the manager and operator of SCF Fertilizer plant in Floyd, Mo., for many years. He also was a farmer and had worked for the Clarkson Construction Company and was a member of Teamster Local 541.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Vina O'Dell; two sisters, Mary Lee and Joann; and a brother, Jessie.

Jimmie is survived by his wife, Gale O'Dell, and a son, Josh O'Dell of the home; three daughters, Melissa O'Dell of Orrick, Mo., Amber (O'Dell) Summers of Odessa, Mo., and Crystal (O'Dell) Dean of Wellington, Mo.; five grandchildren, Lexi, Ali and Kayla Dean, Sierra O'Dell and Gavin Summers; a brother, Luther O'Dell, Jr.; and two sisters, Janet Millsap and Shirley Offutt.

He will be greatly and sadly missed by his family.

Jimmie will be cremated with private family services at a later date.
