Charles Jesse Allen, 86, of Kansas City, Mo., formerly of Orrick, Mo., passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019. Charles was born in Orrick, Mo., on November 20, 1932 to Cecil J. Allen and Lottie L. (Dillen) Allen.

He had lived most of his life in the Orrick area where he was a farmer from age nine until he retired in 1993. He then worked as a successful Real Estate agent. He was a graduate of Orrick High School with the class of 1950. Charles was united in marriage to Carolyn L. Cole on September 9, 1955 in a ceremony in Harrisonville, Mo.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn L. Allen of the home; daughters, Karen Neese and husband, Mike of Clive, Iowa, and Linda Buchanan and husband, Sean of Orrick, Mo.; his grandchildren, Doug Neese and wife, Jen, Brad Neese, and Blake Buchanan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Gowing Funeral Home in Orrick, Mo. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial with full military honors will be at Union Cemetery northwest of Orrick.

Memorials are suggested to the Ruth King Veterans Transportation Fund and may be left at the funeral home.
