Aron Michael Thomas, 34, of Orrick, Mo., passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021. Aron was born on May 30, 1986 to Jim Thomas and Sherry Gilbert. He was a lifelong Orrick resident and graduated from Orrick High School.

Aron was a beloved and devoted father, brother, son, nephew and friend. His daughter was his pride and joy. Aron enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Aron had worked at BNSF Railroad since April 2012 and was an equipment operator. He was a member of the Teamsters Brotherhood of Maintenance Way.

Aron was preceded in death by his father, Jim Thomas, and his grandparents.

Survivors include his daughter, Audrey; mother, Sherry Gilbert (Ron); sisters, Shannon Thomas and Julie McGill; nephews, Alex, Zane and Terry; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Gowing Funeral Home in Orrick, Mo. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11 a.m., also at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Aron's honor can be given to the Aron Thomas Memorial Fund and payable to Shannon Thomas or Julie McGill. These funds will be put aside for his daughter's future expenses and college education.
