 Eva Ruth Sandstrom, 89, Orrick, Mo., passed away Monday, July 28, 2008, at Shirkey Leisure Acres in Richmond, Mo. Eva Ruth Williams was born July 9, 1919, in rural Orrick, the daughter of Fred Elwyn and Nellie Jane (Stevinson) Williams. She was married to Eddie L. Sandstrom on July 19, 1941. They had owned and operated Sandstrom's Garage in Orrick for more than 30 years. They had also owned and operated Sandstrom's Skating Rink in Orrick for more than 20 years. She was a member of the Orrick Christian Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
 She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eddie Sandstrom, in 1992; and her brother, Jesse Elwyn Williams. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon Ruth and A.J. Ivey, Excelsior Springs, and Mary Elizabeth and Jackie Blyth, Orrick; three grandchildren and their spouses, Brett and Kathy Ivey, Excelsior Springs, Barb Blyth and Jeff and Mel Blyth, all of Orrick; and six great-grandchildren, Jordan Ivey, Austin Ivey, Aaron Blyth, Ashlyn Blyth, Marcus and Brandon.
 Memorial services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 31, at Orrick Christian Church, with the Rev. Donna Murphy-Ceradsky officiating. Interment was in South Point Cemetery, rural Orrick. Memorial contributions may be made to Orrick Fire & Rescue or Orrick Christian Church.
